04 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer Head Gasket Set 4.2L 6 Cyl Replacement For 4.2L 6 Cylinder 24 Valve, VIN "S" - INCLUDES HEAD BOLTS 79 300sd. Ended up shearing off bolt head. Extracted the broken bolt and put gasket and pan back on to torque spec. Now fluid is leaking from gasket seal at a couple places. I have a new gasket ordered thinking the one i have needs replacing. Does anyone know or think I may have ruined the pan bolt holes/transmission bolt holes? Bts cabin creek coal company

More specifically, 53 inch pounds (again, if memory serves). Yes, they always seem loose. 4.41 ft. lbs. is not a lot of torque. Get a torque wrench and do it right or suffer the consequences. I have my motor apart so I can do the HPD 558. I went through 40 pages here so far trying to find out timing marks and torque specs for the head and cams. Does anyone have pics of the marks or tell me a quick how too. Any torque specs also?

These are more likely to leak than the gaskets themselves, so anytime you pull the valve cover, you should replace these gaskets.
